Here are the
results of a visit to St. Thomas Primary School, Exeter .........
The children were
working on 'money containers' so this was taken as a theme for the day. Each
student produced a piece of felt and then was shown how to turn this into a
pouch, a purse, or a bag ..............
Over the following weeks
the children used their newly learned sewing techniques to complete the bags
.........
.... and to
decorate them. Dyed Merino Tops had been left with them to make coloured
felt for decoration, but they've used their imagination and added much more.
Jackie (from London)
produced this abstract design with her first attempt at felt making. She
used brown Shetland tops for the background and dyed merino decorative wool
for the design.
Thomas (from London)
produced this fish design after trying one of our kits. He used blue Merino tops for the background and dyed merino decorative wool
for the design.
