High quality Shetland
combed wool tops for spinning, felting, or needle felting.
Not quite so fine
as the Merino wools we supply, but still easily fine enough to be worn
comfortably next to the skin.
Supplied in the natural colours
shown: White/Brown/Grey/Black, or as a mixture of the four colours.
(Sold out of brown and black, but at the moment still included in mixed
packs. More due in the Autumn.) The jacket shown, made by Jenny Arnold, uses a mixture of knitted and felted
Shetland wool.
The shawl uses hand spun Shetland white.
The beret was made using a mixture of natural and hand-dyed Shetland wool.

BLUEFACED LEICESTER WOOL TOPS £2.30 for 100g Long fibres and a soft silky texture.
Superb quality combed wool tops for spinning, felting, or needle felting.
Not quite as fine as the Merino,
but still easily fine enough to be worn comfortably next to the skin.

fibres in the natural colours of the breed.

MERINO DYED TOPS £2.50 for 100g Long, strong and fine
fibres in a range of colours.
Top quality combed wool tops for spinning, felting, or needle felting.
Available in Black, or in any of the colours shown.

The scarves shown are felted using baby pink, pale blue and soft green. The
bag is felted using bright blue, pale blue and hints of other colours. The
throw is felted using mostly bright blue/pale blue, bright yellow/sandy
yellow, and with hints of other colours.
MERINO TOPS-MIXED PACKS £2.50 for 100g Each pack contains 3 or
4 colours as listed.
MIXED COLOUR PACK £1.75 for 50g Each pack contains a mixture of natural and
dyed colours:
Blues/Greens/Turquoise/Yellows/Orange/Red/Pinks/Purple/White/Fawn/Black/Grey/Brown. A range of colours and
textures for felt, needle felt, cards, embroidery, etc.
The earrings, brooches, bangles, braids, buttons and toggles shown were all
felted using mixed Merino colours.
WASHED FIBRE £1.50 for 100g On the left is white curly lambswool,
short curly fibres suitable for adding special texture to felt or
needle-felt.
Next is a bright
white wool/nylon mix, for a soft fluffy shiny surface on needle-felt, but
not suitable for wet felting.
On the right is washed Gotland. Long grey curly ringlets suitable for
texture and colour variation in wet felting and needle-felting.
The sheep bodies were needle felted using Ryeland wool as a base then
lambswool for the surface. For the heads Merino brown and black were used.
The base is loosely knitted brown Shetland. The background is felted bright
blue Merino.
The penguin body was needle felted using Ryeland wool, then Merino
black/purple and the wool/nylon mix needle felted onto the surface. Felted
orange merino was then needle felted onto the body.
CARDED RYELAND£2.50 for 100g A springy cream-coloured wool ideal for
quickly forming a base in 3d needle-felt projects. Then use small amounts of
other fibres to give the finish you require. Much coarser than our other
wools, and not recommended for wet felting.
MIXED PACK FOR NEEDLE
FELTING £1.75
for 50g Each pack contains a mixture of colours and
textures specially selected for needle felting. Carded Ryeland wool to
quickly produce a base, curly
white lambswool and grey Gotland for texture, and a selection of other
fibres for surface decoration.

for 50g Each pack contains a mixture of the natural colours shown:
White/Fawn/Brown/Grey/Black. Specially fine wool for
decoration of felt, needle felt, cards, embroidery etc.
